The 2010 Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale opened with strong gains across the board at Oaklands today, highlighted by the average rising 28% on last year’s figure
In all, 172 horses sold today for a gross of $2,195,600 at a clearance of almost 80%.
The session was topped by Darley’s Strategic colt from Martella, with the full-brother to Group 3 winner Desuetude being sold to Edwards Elkington Racing Victoria for $65,000.
Scone Inglis Broodmare Sale sold 126 mares for a total gross figure of $837,850.
